Nestled in the big spruce forest at the base of Hilda’s impressive north bowl, Hilda Hut will allow ski tourers to access the exciting and challenging terrain of the Southern Valkyrs. From epic, open alpine bowls, couloirs, and mountaineering routes to steep treed runs through huge subalpine spruce, the terrain surrounding the Hilda Hut is a dream for advanced intermediate to expert skiers.
The Hilda Hut is a fully serviced, comfortable lodge with hot & cold running water, indoor plumbing, and private bedrooms.

Fitness Level: You will need to be an Strong intermediate to Expert with a reasonable fitness level, capable of skiing 4000 to 6000 vertical feet in a day. Your endurance level should be such that you could stay out skiing for 6 to 8 hours. Meeting Place: Guests are to at the Burton Staging area at 8:00 A.M Pacific to change to ski wear, sign waivers and weigh in with gear weather pending the exchange will start by 9:00 A.M pacific and usually takes 2-3 hours to complete flight from Burton to Lodge (+/-12 minutes). Please limit your personal gear bag to 30lbs.
