Details:   Bear Spirit is a great place for Intermediate ice climbers to learn steep ice techniques, as well as more advance climbers who would like to try out the mix climbing, Very similar to Haffner.  Mix climbing has become a very popular sport on its own.  Climbing rock and ice while using crampons and ice tools, is the premise of mixed climbing. 

Bear Spiri is a 10 min drive from the town of Banff,  and a 45 minute hike from the parking lot.  There is plenty of ice from WI 3 to 4 and mix routes from M6 to M8.
